It’s no secret that kids, teachers and parents love bingo games. Playing bingo improves a child’s brain processing speed and their memory. In addition, bingo helps a child practice social participation and interaction. And we all know bingo is a fun and engaging way to learn!
How much more fun would it be if students were able to create their own bingo boards? With Summer Blast Bingo, a No Prep freebie, students cut and glue bingo squares to a board in their own unique order.
Create-Your-Own Bingo Board games can be used for alphabet activities, numbers and counting, shapes and fractions, and much, much more. So I wanted to give you a sample to play with your kiddos to show how easy they are to print out and create.
The teacher will print out a bingo board copy for each student. The bingo activity shown below is the intermediate scaffolded game board – perfect for 2nd and 3rd graders. There is also a simpler game board for Pre-K through 1st graders and an advanced one for 4th through 5th graders.
Students will color their bingo squares any way they like. They will then cut out the squares and glue them to the board in whatever order they like. Each board has several more bingo pieces than the board will need, another way for students to differentiate their boards. Once they are done, the game begins!
There are two sets of calling cards – one large for whole group games and the other small for small group games. Add some adorable mini-erasers for markers and you have a fun, engaging activity! (the mini-erasers here were found at the Target dollar area)
